Here we would like to tell you how to write your post of "SunBlog" with Window Live Writer(WLW). You know, the Window Live Writer is so great for post management of web blog that "SunBlog" had supported this killer feature natively. And another reason is that editing a long blog post in the FCK editor is painful. Anyone who has ever lost a blog post because of a login timeout knows just how painful it truly can be. I spend an hour or more writing my blog posts and to have it just disappear is enough to make you cry. Ok, if you haven't yet set up your WLW to post to your blog, now let us go ahead. It's really easy. Here's the simple steps below:
After doing this, you should be good to blog! And you may refer to another tutorial - how to troubleshooting window live writer on SunBlogNuke.
Good luck blogging!
Updated: From version 3.3.x, you just follow the first two steps above and it will automatically detect the MetaWeblog API for you. That is because we have supported RSD (Really Simple Discoverability) which allows client software to auto-discover RPC services using nothing more than the URL for your blog.
Hi,I am trying to use WLW with MetaWeblog.aspx, but keep getting invalid credentials.MetaWeblog.aspx opens and shows the XML-RPC documentation.Web.config contains 'validate="false"' in httphandlers.I seem to be missing something but do not know what.
You may try to connect Window Live Writer with host account but not the blog account. Please refer to the post for more details about this issue - Fixed Window Live Writer Issue with SunBlogNuke. Hope it makes sense.Kind regardsBaldwin
Hi Baldwin, I purchased SunBlogNuke version 4.7.2 a week or so ago from snowcovered. The module installed fine. However, when I try to publish a new post to my blog using the lastest version of WLW I get the following error: Server Error 0 Occurred Object reference not set to an instance of an object. WLW appears to connect ok to my blog as I can download posts I made using the DNN module. I can also delete existing posts on my Blog using WLW. I just cannot publish. The DNN user I'm using has full Blog Owner rights too. Any ideas? I really need to get this working soon. Thanks Alex
Hi Alex, It looks like that your connection works well. Please check out whether you have selected category for new post. Now category required for post publish. Hope it helps. Regards Baldwin
