I hope everyone is having a good morning! Today we are glad that SunBlogNuke v5.2 is available for free upgrade, which is totally compatible with new generation DotNetNuek 6.2. Following the social trend of dnn core framework, we also embraced Social Networking features and implemented social aware application with SunBlogNuke. In this building, we introduced lots of bigger changes, such as implemented "Post Thumbnail" feature & integration with our brand new gallery module - GalleryPlus, supported Open Graph meta tags & more popular social services, added ability to tweet your post status etc. Now let us dive into details about those fantastic changes.
Note: sorry that the widget was down and not work any more due to a new Twitter API.
If you are finding a highlight solution to display your most recent Twitter updates on your DNN website, the "Twitter Feed widget" module will be exactly what you need. With the free widget, it is easy to integrate the twitter feed into the sidebar of dnn blog to show your latest tweets.
Out of the box, you just need to specify the public twitter account info (username) and this dnn widget will do the rest for you. Moreover, you can control how tweets are displayed from widget settings panel, such as Number of displayed Tweets & whether to Show Replies. The cache mechanism also let your dnn website avoid critical website load traffic.
I’m a relative novice with DNN, but needed to get several blogs up on our website quickly. I knew our needs would quickly outstrip the basic blogging module – immediate needs were integration with Windows Live Writer and the ability to show our Twitter feeds next to our blogs. A DNN developer recommended SunBlogNuke. It’s been very easy to set up, and the responsiveness of the developers has been fabulous. When I needed some hand-holding due to my inexperience they stayed with me until I fully understood how to do what I needed to do. SunBlogNuke does everything we need and more. I’m still discovering new capabilities in the module and have no doubt that it will meet our needs for as long as we’re blogging. I’m delighted with my purchase, and couldn’t recommend this module and this company more highly. - Tom Goodell (www.performanceunlimitedteam.com)
